THE TRIAL OF SADDAM HUSSEIN

THE TRIAL OF SADDAM HUSSEIN explores the legal, ethical and moral questions at the heart of the trials of Saddam and his top aides for genocide and crimes against humanity. Tainted by failed leadership and violations of the “rule of law,” the trials, which might have helped reconcile Iraq’s legacy of dictatorship, crime and war, were compromised by political pressures and violence in the streets. Underwritten by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting as one of the programs in the “America at a Crossroads” series for PBS, THE TRIAL OF SADDAM HUSSEIN premiered on PBS in 2008.
